Two cores on the same PC (Or a split console cable)

I know this has been asked in the past, but I have not seen an answer yet.  It would be really helpful to split my console into a right and left side.  This could be done with two cores, or a cable to join a master side to a slave side.  Any news or plans?

  I second that, it would keep it way easier to remember buttons.
