Tilt sensitivity for timeline zooming Premiere

Is there a way of adjusting the tilt sensitivity on timeline zooming? at the moment it seems to be very abrupt and i cant get it to zoom in a more gradual manner. I've tried adjusting the step slider in the app but it doesnt make any difference. I'm also having the same issue with audio volume adjustments using the pots on the console ie: all or nothing, on or off type of behavior.
