MIDI implementaiton with Cakewalk by Bandlab

I can use my Palette for CC control in Native Instruments Kontact play.  However, If I open Kontact inside Cakewalk by Bandlab, I cannot get CC control to work.  Does anyone have info on this?  I have defined Palette as a control surface, but I'm lost when it comes to configuring it.
