Hi Gareth, Nick from Palette here.

Unfortunately Capture One sliders are only available with Palette on macOS due to integration limitations on Windows systems - details here.

The good news is that we're in contact with the Phase One team; requests like yours will help us build a stronger case for them to help us implement Palette Windows support.

    Hope that helps.

Oh, it certainly  helps explain why they don't work with Capture One, but doesn't explain why they're being sold as part of a  'Capture One Kit'. Why would a customer want a 'Capture One Kit' that includes sliders that don't work in Capture One?

Sliders are included in the Capture One Kit as they integrate effortlessly with a Capture One workflow on macOS. However I totally understand where you’re coming from. Eventually, we’ll build full support for Windows, which will include slider support. In the meantime, we can swap out your 2 sliders for 2 modules of your choice, just pay for shipping.

If you’d like to set this up, please use the “Submit a request” link at the top of the page to get in touch with our support team.

    Hi Nick,

That is kind to offer to replace the sliders with two different modules. However I've also noticed that the dials don't work properly on a few adjustments, namely highlights and contrast in C1. The dial will increase the adjustments but not decrease. Are you aware of this issue or is this something that can be fixed my end?

    Thanks,

    G

Hey Gareth, two possible reasons here:

First and most common is that Capture One has the default keymapping selected, rather than the Palette-specific keymapping. To check this, go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts and select the Palette Keymap. Here's more detail from the Phase One site: https://help.phaseone.com/en/CO12/Optimizing-Your-Workflow/Keyboard-Shortcuts

Second and less common is if you're using a different keyboard layout than English-US QWERTY, this can change the location of some of the alphanumeric and special characters, affecting certain shortcuts. In this case, just reply in our direct email thread and myself or a colleague will help with the remapping process; it's pretty straightforward.

Either way, we'll get it set up and working ASAP.
