Assign to UI Components inside websites

Hi,

Is it possible to assign to palette for UI components created inside a website? Like if I created a slider UI in my webpage assign it to palette.

  This is old, of course, but I thought I'd mention since the API doesn't seem to be available yet... I'm currently doing this using the web midi api.   (not available yet in all browsers).  

  The biggest upside, and the reason I'm doing it this way instead of key commands, is the web midi api does not require the app to be 'in focus' for the commands to work... which is a necessity for my use case.
