Can't load menu actions
I'm running the most recent version of Palette beta. Because I work at a managed workstation for a large company, I'm running CC 2017 for all of my Adobe programs. When I try to change menu actions in the Palette app for any of my Adobe programs, I get an error message telling me that the menu can't be loaded. I have Palette beta added to my accessibility permissions, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

Hey Michael, I have a suspicion as to what might be happening.
There are two apps that require access to enable menu actions—make sure to enable both PaletteApp AND System Events in the Security & Privacy menu (see screenshot below). The latter is a bit unclear, so I've run into this myself. -
Hi Michael,
I was able to reproduce the exact same issues you've been having.
After removing System Events, I re-added it, then tried re-loading the Lightroom menu and it failed instantly.
It looks like MacOS isn't actually applying this change until after a reboot, so restart your machine and it will load the menu.If that doesn't work, go to ~/Library/Application Support/Palette/PaletteAppV2 and delete App Name.json, reboot, then try again.
PS: For anyone running into the same issues and trying to follow this process, here's how to add System Events to the Security & Privacy menu:
- Select the privacy tab, then Accessibility from the left hand side
- Click the lock at bottom left and supply an Admin password
- Select the + sign, then shortcut Cmd+Shift+G and paste in the path /System/Library/CoreServices/System Events.app -
I've been using Beta 2.4.12 to replicate everything you've mentioned here—there shouldn't be a functional difference between Beta and Public releases for this feature.
Sorry to hear that didn't work; that must be frustrating. I can coordinate a support call with you for this aft or tomorrow; please select "Submit a Request" at the top right and I'll be in touch ASAP.
Best,
Andy
