If you have a laptop, it likely uses magnets to detect when the lid opens/closes. The magnets in each Palette Gear module can trick your laptop into thinking the lid is closed, and it will go to sleep accordingly—moving the hardware even a centimetre further away will fix this.

No :) I'm on a PC. Nothing was moved. I just put my stylus away and jumped into Lightroom. After 5 minutes (as set in the settings) monitor just turned off :)

That's really strange. Can you go to Help > Customer Service in the app and send in an issue report that references our thread here?

My gut feeling is that our app shouldn't be capable of putting your system to sleep, but I'll have more knowledgeable colleagues look at it and find out what's going on.

I was hoping the support team would be more prompt :) Filled the form in beta app as soon as you wrote this comment, but still no response. Checked Spam folder too.

Any update on that issue? On beta monitor still turns off while adjusting LR Classic CC settings in Develop module

As far as we've found in testing, it's just the system going to sleep because it's not detecting mouse and/or keyboard input—I'm assuming you're using your kit in place of a mouse and keyboard rather than in supplement?

I use my mouse and keyboard occasionally while making minor adjustments, but sometimes it's just not frequent enough :) I've got my monitor sleep time set to 3 minutes. In Lr Classic CC I have a profile with basic adjustments and skipping to next photo, so I don't really need a keyboard or a mouse while I go through tens or sometimes hundreds of my photos while preparing them for more aggressive retouching :) Wouldn't it be possible to send some ping signal of keyboard CTRL click or something once in a while :D Maybe after every use of any module?
