[New] Native Wirecast integration [SW]
AnsweredWirecast has opened their software for external controllers. Maybe you should start a discussion with them to get native support for your nice product.
Currently I have to use it in keyboard mode which is far from being optimal.

Hi Jens, I'll be candid and say that Wirecast isn't on the current roadmap, but we've had a few questions about it (and OBS as well). That said, given enough interest, we'd be happy to connect with their team and see what's possible.
I see that they have Beta MIDI support. If this is fleshed out to include custom mappings, it could conceivably open some doors for more control w/Palette. What are the biggest limitations of Keyboard Mode + Wirecast, currently?
PS: I moved your thread to Feature Requests and tagged it accordingly, so others interested in Wirecast can chime in here.Comment actions -
Hi Andy,
WIrecast isn't very keyboard friendly either to be honest. I can switch shots with custom keyboard mappings but that's it basically. No volume control, no t-bar. Very, very basic. Mainly the menu items have a shortcut but that's it. The midi beta is the right direction I agree but currently only fixed mappings and a few devices are avilable. It's still a long way to get close to let's say vMix as a competitor in terms of midi implementation.

The native support in Wirecast is unlikely to come, Giancarlo. Wirecast hasn't the internal functionallity it needs exposed that would be needed for an external verdor to hook up with.
Take a look at vMix. They have a ton of functions available ad you can control vMix entirely in midi mode.

OBS is huge. Supporting OBS would open lots of sales IMO.
Its a perfect match OBS allows you to do amazing live video productions and MonogramCC will allow you to build reconfigurable custom controls for each show.
I do several live shows that a custom surface built for each show would be amazing.
For example 1 show has a single narrator, other shows has 4 people discussing around a couch and chairs, and yet another is formatted like a talk show.
Configuring a keyboard is a pain, and using a configured keyboard is even worse.
So yes +1 for OBS

Hey all, thanks for the feedback.
OBS is being looked at, but no concrete timeline to release it.
In the meantime, I'm using my console with OBS MIDI and it works great: https://github.com/cpyarger/obs-midi/releases
