Using a dial knob to control mouse X or Y position

Has anyone had any success with somehow mapping one of the dial knobs to be able to control the X or Y position of the mouse cursor? I basically just want to be able to use it in Davinci, so I'm wanting to left click my mouse and then turn a dial to move the mouse left or right so it still kind of works in Resolve, despite it not being supposed in there.
