This article provides technical requirements for Monogram Creator to communicate with other applications locally.
If you are still seeing an orange plug icon on Monogram Creator (shown below) after performing plugin reinstallation and other troubleshooting steps, a local connection issue could be the potential cause.
Monogram Creator uses the following port numbers to communicate with Adobe applications. Please ensure these ports are available for use by Monogram Creator.
- Lightroom: 50109, 50110
- Premiere Pro: 52100, 51120
- Photoshop (UXP): 59177
- Photoshop (Legacy): 51122
- Audition: 52101, 51125
- InDesign: 51123
- After Effects: 51121
It is not possible to customize the port numbers at this time. If you are experiencing difficulties, please contact us.
While firewall rules generally have no impact on local-to-local connections, consider adding a firewall exception specifically for Monogram Creator and Monogram Service if you are encountering difficulties.
Monogram Creator makes use of the `localhost` local loopback connection on your computer for communicating with other applications. Please ensure that the hosts file on your computer is configured correctly, including the default targets of 127.0.0.1 for localhost. If you are on Windows, see this support article from Microsoft. If you are on macOS, contact us with your hosts file located on MacintoshHD at /etc/hosts and we can help you out.
