2. Can I customize my Monogram Creative Console?
Yes! Individual dials, sliders, and buttons are now available to order. Combine these add-on modules with one of our kits (Traveler, Studio, or Master) to achieve your ideal setup
3. How many functions can I assign to each console?
Creative console was designed to be more powerful than a keyboard but take up as much or less space. Each console can be assigned between 270 to 720 functions with advanced precision settings like sensitivity, range, and granularity.
- Assign up to 270 programmable functions with 4 modules with the Traveler Console
- Assign up to 405 programmable functions with 5 modules with the Studio Console
- Assign up to 720 programmable functions to 9 modules with the Master Console
4. How many actions can I assign to each module?
Each individual module can be assigned between 45 to 135 programmable functions depending on the module.
- Assign up to 135 programmable functions to the Dial module
- Assign up to 90 programmable functions to the Essential Keys module
- Assign up to 45 programmable functions to the Orbiter module
- Assign up to 45 programmable functions to the Slider module
5. How can I label each module, so I know what function I have assigned to it?
Monogram Creative Console is not physically labelled. This gives you more flexibility and control to label and change the functionality on the fly. You can label each module in our accompanying software.
Press and hold one of your core buttons to bring up a preview of your current profile on your computer screen, which will show you what function each module has been assigned to.
6. How many modules can I have?
Up to 12 modules can be supported with one Core module. As you approach 12 modules, it's normal for the LED halos around each module to decrease in brightness—this is how Monogram conserves the power supplied to it over USB.
7. What can the dials do?
Dials give you precise control and offer a secondary function when pressed. This function varies on the chosen application and function.
- In Lightroom Classic:
Press the dial to reset Develop functions to their default value (ex: return Exposure to 0)
For Library module functions like selecting ratings, tags, and flags: press the dial to move to the next image
Press and turn the dial to increase sensitivity
- In Premiere Pro CC:
Press the dial to reset Lumetri Color adjustments to their default
Press and turn the dial to increase sensitivity
- In Photoshop CC and other Adobe CC apps:
Press and turn the dial to increase sensitivity
- In MIDI, Keyboard, and Joystick modes:
The dial press can be mapped independently from dial turns in Keyboard, MIDI, and Joystick modes.
A dial turn can be assigned to a MIDI CC value while the dial press will send a MIDI note.
8. How do sliders work when moving between multiple images?
When you navigate to a new photo, the position of the sliders on Lightroom user interface won't be affected at all until you move the physical slider. Begin moving the physical slider again and the on-screen slider will synchronize to match.
9. Does my Monogram core screen go to sleep?
Your Monogram Core module display will only enter into sleep mode if your computer is also in sleep mode or after long periods of inactivity. Otherwise, the Core display will remain on.
10. Can I customize the light color on the LED halos?
Yes, you can customize the light color of each individual LED halo on the console by navigating to the color panel located on the bottom left of the module settings window.
