What is Application Mode?
Application modes include Lightroom CC/6, Photoshop CC, Premiere Pro CC, and Capture One 11+ modes, along with all other app integrations available in PaletteApp. See our Tech Specs page for a full list of app integrations.
How to Assign a Function
To assign an Application Mode function, click any button, dial or slider and select [App Name] mode from the left side.
Have a function in mind already? Use the search bar at the top to quickly look for your desired functions. (Illustration below)
Groups and Functions
In Application mode, there is an expanding list consisting of groups and functions.
Groups are denoted by a triangle icon at the left, and expand into a list of individual functions when clicked. For example, in Lightroom mode, click on the Library Selection group to reveal a group of related functions. (Illustration below)
Advanced Settings (Range & Sensitivity)
After selecting an application mode or Mac/Windows mode function, you'll see the "Advanced" drop-down appear below the function name. Select "Advanced" and the available range and/or sensitivity options will appear. (Illustrated below)
Sensitivity modulates how quickly a given adjustment is applied, while range defines the Min and Max points of the slider. You can read more about these controls here.
Some functions have help text to explain how it works and how to use the function. Select a function and its help text will become visible below the function name. (Illustration below)
