How does Monogram communicate with Logic?
The Creative Console works with Logic by making use of MIDI signals and keyboard shortcuts, primarily MIDI. Any MIDI assignments made in Creator can be "learned" to different functions in Logic.
Create a Logic Profile
Open Monogram Creator and select the Logic icon in order to create a new Logic profile.
Confirm Logic receives MIDI
Once you have your Logic profile selected in Creator go into Logic and click the dropdown arrow, to the right of the LCD display, located to the top and change it to custom mode. Now you are able to monitor the MIDI channel and any CC inputs as shown:
This allows us to monitor MIDI and shows Channel 1, CC 21 at 33% as shown. Test this by using our QuickStart profiles or assigning MIDI to a slider or dial yourself.
Learning MIDI assignments in Logic
Next press Shift + Option + K in Logic to open the controller assignments window.
Firstly click “Learn Mode” at the bottom right of this window. Now you can click any button, dial or slider in Logic or a plugin running in Logic then move the appropriate MIDI assigned module on the Monogram Creative Console. You should now have control over your desired parameter!
